Graduated

So finally I realized that it was already 2 years ago, the last time I wrote in my blog.
I noticed that the last time I wrote was by the time I entered the Grad School.
I graduated.

I attained my M.A. and now I work as a development worker.

Many things happened in 2 years (I cant believe it's just 2 years, it feels like forever).

This blog will still be my semi-autobiography. I tell stories that people may or may not want to hear (sorry bout that).

I promise someone that I am gonna publish at least a book, in my life.
Since this recent time has been quite still, flowing with no significant wave, I will start to write again.

Tentang Menengok Rumput Tetangga

Sebentar lagi saya ulang tahun. Ya, pokoknya sebentar lagi. Entah di mana, saya pernah membaca bahwa pada saat bayi manusia membutuhkan tidur yang terbanyak, sekitar 16 jam. Semakin tua, jam tidur akan semakin berkurang. Itu katanya - ada penelitiannya dan sebagainya. Saya membaca artikel tersebut sambil lalu, tetapi saya mulai merasakannya, terutama akhir-akhir ini. Rasa-rasanya sulit sekali jatuh tertidur di malam hari. "Pola makan kali... ", "Makanya olah raga dong...", "Doa, biar hati tenang...", "Ngitung domba coba...", "Aroma terapi...", "Musik-musik yoga..." Kawanku... terima kasih masukannya, tetapi kenyataannya ngomong itu memang lebih gampang daripada melakukan dan merasakan. Yah, apa pun itu, yang jelas setiap malam sepertinya otak saya sibuk sekali - layaknya bocah yang berlarian dan jumpalitan ke sana ke mari tanpa tentu arah. Chatting about Color with an Imaginary Sightless Friend

I watched a movie in my German class some days ago. It’s a German movie entitled Erbsen auf halb 6 . It’s a movie about a blind man and a blind woman who are in love. The man is blind because of a car accident and the woman is blind since the time she was born. It is a fancy love story. Unfortunately, since I’m not a big fan of drama and romantic movie, for me the plot is not quite attractive. Yet, I should say that the background and the idea of the story are quite amazing. The most interesting thing happened after the class. My teacher took a scene, on which the man described a color to the woman. The man experiences “seeing things,” unlike the woman who has zero visual experience. The woman asked the man to describe gelb – yellow, and his answer was “ sonnenwarme Steine ” –a stone burnt by the warmth of sunlight.
